Pakistan Days in Berlin
German Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) in collaboration with the Pakistan-German Business Forum organized a "Pakistan Days" in Berlin on October 30, 2013.More than 300 participants from Pakistan and Germany sit together to work on deepening the German-Pakistani economic relations. The discussions focused on the search for new markets and fresh opportunities that arises for investors and companies in the two countries. German Foreign Minister, Dr.Guido Westerwelle and the Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif addressed the inaugural session of the event. In his opening speech, German Foreign Minister underlined the economic potential of Pakistan, which arises from its strategic location in South Asia, its mineral wealth and a growing middle class and young population. Mian Shahbaz Sharif, in his address, called for a strengthening of trade relations between the two countries. He invited the German investors to invest in Pakistan, particularly in Energy Sector, make profit and at the same time, help with developing Pakistan´s economy. Here are a few glimpses of the event.
