Presentation of Credentials by Mr. Jauhar Saleem
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Germany, Mr. Jauhar Saleem presented his credentials to the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E Mr. Joachim Gauck in Berlin today. On arrival at the Bellevue Palace, he was received by the Chief of Protocol, followed by guard of honour by a contingent of the German Army and hoisting of Pakistan Flag. He was escorted to the President's Office for the credentials ceremony. In his brief meeting with the German President, Ambassador Jauhar Saleem conveyed to him greetings and good wishes from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. He briefed him about the importance Pakistan attaches to its relations with Germany and expressed the desire to further strengthen and expand the existing cordial ties between the two countries. Mr. Gauck assured him of full support of the German Government in this regard. The Ambassador also signed the Golden Book and in his remarks, he expressed the hope to exploit full potential of the existing relations between Pakistan and Germany. Ambassador Jauhar Saleem was accompanied in the ceremony by Mrs. Zarin Jauhar, Mrs. Rukhsana Afzaal, Minister, Mr. Sajjad Haider Khan, Counsellor, Brig. Adnan Asif Jah Shad, Defence Attaché, Group Capt. Mohsin Mahmood, Technical Attaché, and Captain Khalid Samar Khan, Naval and Air Attaché.
