NMC Delegations Visit to Berlin
A 12-Member delegation of 101st National Management Course (NMC) visited Berlin as a part of their Foreign Study Tour from November 28 to December 04,2014. The Embassy chalked out a comprehensive program for them which included a presentation on Pakistan Germany relations by the Deputy Head of Mission, Mr.Ameer Khurram Rathore, followed by a Q & A session, visit to the German Foreign Office and meeting with the German Special Envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Dr.Michael Koch, visit to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, visit to the Federal Agency for Technical Relief and presentation on Disaster Management in Modern Times, visit to German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), Visit to the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and presentation on Management of German economic Policies and Pak-German Trade Relations, Briefing by Representatives of the Federal Academy of Public Administration, and a visit to German Parliament and briefing on its functioning. The delegation also visited Berliner Wasserbetriebe project (capitalís drinking water supplier and waste water disposal company. It is Europeís largest integrated supply and disposal company) and Adlershof Science and Technology Park besides a guided tour to historical places in Berlin and around it. The delegation also met representatives of Pakistani community living in Berlin and exchanged views about their life away from their homeland and the issues they have to face in their day-to-day life. Ambassador also hosted a dinner at Pakistan House in honor of the delegation. Speaking on this occasion, the head of the delegation, Rai Ijaz Ali Zaigham, Director Staff thanked the Ambassador and the officials of the Embassy for devising a very productive programme for the delegation. He also presented a commemorative shield to the Ambassador and a souvenir to the Head of the Chancery.
