The Embassy of Pakistan, Berlin participated in the International Open Day organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on 28th August 2016. More than 40 diplomatic missions established their stalls . An Info-cultural stall showcasing Pakistani artifacts, handicrafts, embroidered accessories, books and brochures on tourism and investment opportunities was established. A car decorated with Pakistan's Truck Art invited immense public interest together with TV documentaries showing glimpses of Pakistan's tourism sites, fashion, music and architecture etc.
The Ambassador of Pakistan His Excellency Mr. Jauhar Saleem attended the welcoming ceremony along with German Parliamentary State Secretary ( Minister of State) Mr. Thomas Silberhorn. Later, the Ambassador accompanied the dignitary to Pakistani stall where they were briefed about tremendous opportunities in Pakistan. Mr. Silberhorn expressed keen interest in Pakistani Truck Art and other items showcased. The Ambassador presented a souvenir to the dignitary.
A large number of visitors from diverse nationalities visited the Pakistani stall throughout the day. While the men were more appreciative of the Pakistani truck art the ladies showed keen interest in embroidered clothes and handicrafts.
